The new law states that you have to be 21 to own a credit card now…. I’m 18 and was too unaware of the situation to get a credit card before that law passed. So now that there are no credit cards for me until 3 years later, what are some possible strategies for improving my credit score?

You can still get plenty of credit before you are 21. You can open a checking account and get a line of credit, just make sure they report to the credit bureaus. You can also get a merchant store card that reports to the credit bureaus also. Credit diversification is important, so having a credit card is good for building credit it is also important to have lots of different kinds.
